The Value of a Good Conscience

Peace is difficult to come by with others when we are not at peace withing ourselves. The value of a good conscience cannot be measured in a world that invites us to sell out to the next cultural craze.  But can we trust our own conscience? Does an internal peace of mind have the final say in what is right or wrong?  In our text today, Roman Authorities moderate a conversation between Paul and the Temple Leadership, with the desire to understand what is at the heart of the issue. How do we stand faithful in Christ when religious leaders are living and leading hypocritically? Confusion touches everyone as God’s Kingdom continues to come into the world, and people must face and answer the question- just who is Jesus Christ? As we trust His leading into the conversation, we must trust His work through it as well.
