Pastor Joel Geer's Bio
I began pastoral ministry in 2012 when I was privileged with serving as a youth pastor at Living Word Church in Hewitt, New Jersey, for 7 years. Follow that period, I served as an assistant pastor at Clearview Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Schodack, New York, for 4 years as the primary preacher. Now, I am honored to serve as the Senior Pastor at Cornerstone Chapel, where I have been called to lead and minister to both the congregation and community.
In my personal life, I find immense joy in being a family man. My beloved wife, Laura Geer, is my closest companion and partner in life. We cherish moments of laughter and quality time spent together, creating beautiful memories as we go on adventures and share experiences. Our two wonderful boys, Josiah and Benjamin, are precious gifts from God, and being present in their lives is a source of great fulfillment for us. Through our family bond, I am continually inspired to grow and strengthen my faith as a pastor, husband, and father.
Throughout my academic journey, I have been committed to deepening my understanding of the Bible and theology. I pursued my undergraduate studies in Bible at Nyack College, and later obtained two master's degrees, one in Old Testament studies from Alliance Theological Seminary and another from Princeton Theological Seminary.
In my leisure time, I enjoy engaging in various hobbies such as reading, sports, and outdoor activities, which provide me with valuable moments of relaxation and rejuvenation. Additionally, I pursue independent biblical studies, which not only enrich my spiritual understanding but also provide me with valuable moments with the Lord in reflection
