Shantelle Torres's Bio

When I think of the term worship, what comes to mind is communion, humility, and sincerity. I have served at Cornerstone Chapel since the end of 2016 as a worship leader and briefly as a youth leader. Aside from actual time of worship, I have witnessed worship through many different forms among the congregation. Some of these are giving of their time to serve each other, praying fervently for one another, and supporting the ministries in place.

I consider myself to be a work in progress and as much as I would like to say I consider myself an asset to Cornerstone Chapel, what I really am is someone who is influenced by Spirit led people to be more like Christ and to give my all in everything I do.

I grew up in New Jersey and have been a worship leader for 11 years. Additionally, I have served in children and youth ministries on and off when time and commitment permitted. I graduated from William Paterson University and work in the judiciary full-time. I am currently back in school for accounting, and I dream of one day owning a café with a giant coffee roaster in the middle of the place with live music every week. I won't mention how many different types of coffee makers I have and the times I have to talk myself out of buying new coffee toys at Home Goods. In my off time, some of the things I love are cooking for my family and with my fiancé, trying new coffee shops and restaurants and caring for my plants.
